NGA initiative enables $4.4M contract with VRICON for 3D modeling

Today the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) announced a $4.4 million contract for the purchase of Vricon Data Suite products in February 2017. Vricon announces reseller agreement with Esri

Vricon releases newest product in Data Suite: Digital Terrain Model

McLean, VA – Vricon unveils the newest product in the Vricon Data Suite: the 0.5m resolution Digital Terrain Model (DTM), a high-resolution bare earth elevation data layer. Vricon produces its DTM using access to massive high-quality image archives and unique automated processing that provides delivery speeds far beyond traditional technologies.

“We are delighted to bring our DTM product to our government and industry users who value it for a variety of uses, such as foundation data, topographic mapping, and orthorectification,” says Vricon CEO Magnus Brege. “Like our other Data Suite products, DTM provides our users with exceptional accuracy and resolution. Vricon Data Suite: Putting Earth in customers’ hands

7 January 2016 — Today, Vricon unveils its Data Suite that includes the Vricon 3D Surface Model, Vricon DSM, Vricon Point Cloud, and Vricon True Ortho. All four products are commercially available with global coverage, possess a 0.5-meter resolution, require no ground control points, and maintain an absolute accuracy of 3 meters in all dimensions.

Vricon bringing innovation to SOFINS



Vricon will participate in SOFINS 2017, the Special Operations Forces Innovation Network Seminar, in Souge Camp, France on 28-30 March. We’ll be sharing our innovative approach to geolocation, 3D infiltration and mobility, and other operations-related aspects of the Vricon Data Suite. We’ll be there as an exhibitor all three days, so stop by the booth and learn more about Vricon’s 3D surface model, digital surface model, True Ortho, digital terrain model, and point cloud data.

We launched our #TiltTheMap campaign at GEOINT 2016, and we’ve been creating these talented maps from all over the world ever since — we’ll have new #TiltTheMap videos to share that week and a few other surprises, too.  Attend our training session the morning of June 6 about the X-box Generation and visit us in our booth throughout the week.

We’ll be ready with a big Texan “howdy” and plenty of amazing 3D examples.

Vricon’s Erik Winther, Director Marketing and Global Accounts, will be presenting at the Defense Future Technologies (DEFTECH) Space Workshop on 1 June 2016 in Thun, Switzerland.  His topic — “Watching Over You from Space” — is part of a larger discussion on how space technology and private industry may disrupt security and military operations.

Geospatial Media — an international geospatial media company — is honoring Vricon with its Leadership Award for Technology Innovation.

As part of its goal to recognize geospatial leadership, Geospatial Media established the GeoBuiz Leadership Awards and constituted a committee of three eminent and widely recognised professionals including Mark Reichardt, CEO at Open Geospatial Consortium; Ivan DeLoatch, Executive Director, FGDC; and Chris Tucker, Founder at MapStories. The committee is honoring Vricon for its innovation in the field of 3D Content delivery.

Isaac Zaworski, Vricon Vice President for Business Development, will be participating on a panel at the 32nd Space Symposium on 13 April 2016 in Colorado Springs, CO, at the Broadmoor.  The Symposium, which takes place from 11 April through 14 April, is the premier global, commercial, civil, military and emergent space conference.
